Introduction

Hello and thanks for visiting!

I'm Candace Sutherland-Mott and I am interning, as well as employed, by Shaw & Associates, PLC. We are Site Acquisition consultants that acquire land for placements of cellular towers.  My main client is Verizon Wireless and I started with Shaw about a year ago.  Stay tuned about the ins-and-outs of exactly what I do for Verizon!

Little personal information about myself is that I am recently married and my hubs lives in DC.  I live in Phoenix at the moment.  I have 2 children that I have from a prior marriage and they keep me very busy!  I am in my last semester as an undergrad student at ASU and I am happy to see the light at the end of the tunnel!  I have been going to school ever since I have graduated high school, seemingly a 100 years ago, but I have finally found my path.  I am looking forward to the future and meeting my personal goals!

This internship is going to be an interesting one.  Ever since I have joined Shaw, I have moved up the ladder quite quickly.  I will be getting opportunities to learn new things and to get a few employees that I will be managing. 

I have three goals:

1. To effectively provide great service and commitment to Verizon by ensuring I follow through with all tasks and expectations in a timely manner.  Hopefully, within 24 hours.

2. I am hoping to grasp the handling of the lease documents and making sure the passing the documents required to close out the project is complete with little to no errors.

3. I am expected to gain about 100 more projects by the end of the year, as well as bring on 3 people that will work for me.  I want to provide the training tools that I did not receive so they can feel 100% comfortable working in the crazy environment that we have here at Shaw.
